Breaking News: Firebirds Swimmer Achieves Historic Victory at 2025 NCS Senior Championship
In a remarkable turn of events, Judah Hall, a 17-year-old Senior, became the first senior from the Firebirds swim team to qualify and medal at the 2025 NCS Senior Championship meet, held over the past weekend (February 20-23, 2025).
On Friday, Hall competed in the 100-yard butterfly event and advanced to the A final, ultimately securing an impressive 8th-place medal. This achievement positions him as the 8th fastest swimmer in the state in this category.
The excitement continued on Saturday, as Hall excelled in the preliminaries of the 50-yard freestyle event, finishing 3rd overall. He broke the 17-18 Firebirds 50 SCY Free record with a time of 20.94 seconds. In the A final, he clinched 6th place overall, earning the title of the 6th fastest 50-yard freestyler in North Carolina.
Hall's outstanding performances not only earned him individual accolades but also contributed significantly to his team's success. He single-handedly placed the Firebirds swim team in 20th/27th place overall and 6th/33rd place overall for the Small Team's division.
When asked if he had any advice for future Firebird athletes aiming to be in his position, Judah Hall said, "Keep training hard and stop complaining...haha." Words spoken by an experienced athlete!
Judah Hall is now preparing to participate in the Senior Sectionals in March, with the Firebird community eagerly cheering him on and wishing him the best of luck.
