Coach Zion Hall

Zion Hall is the Executive Director of Champion’s Coaching Inc. and Head Coach of the Firebirds Swim Team. A lifelong swimmer, she began coaching at 18 and has since dedicated her career to expanding access to swimming for underserved and underrepresented youth. She is the youngest Black woman to found a USA Swimming team—and the first in North Carolina—but prefers to focus on the mission rather than the milestone. Her coaching philosophy centers on confidence, community, and athlete‑first development, helping swimmers grow both in and out of the water.

Coach Judah “Coach J” Hall

Judah Hall, known as “Coach J,” is a USA Swimming certified coach and lifelong athlete with over 12 years of competitive swimming experience. Recognized for his speed and determination, Judah is among the fastest swimmers in North Carolina in the 100 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle. He will continue his athletic and academic journey at Lenoir Rhyne College on scholarship, majoring in kinesiology. Judah brings an energetic, technique‑focused coaching style to the Firebirds, helping swimmers build confidence, refine skills, and discover joy in the sport.
